The New Facebook- Get your News Feed To Show What YOU want to see

The new redesign of Facebook has gotten a lot of heat since its arrival. The changes are supposed to help filter news and updates to post what it thinks you would like to see at the top. So far this has been a bust for many people I've spoken to. I noticed that SO MANY of my favorite business/ community pages had just plain disappeared. I was only able to see them by going directly to their page. To me that is inconvenient! I liked the idea of just scrolling down the news feed "liking" and commenting as I went through it all.

I was lucky enough to stumble upon an article posted by one of my favorite pages Paint The Moon Photography. Annie was kind enough to break down the new "List" features into screen shots to make finding my favorites easy again. The tutorial titled, "Keeping Up With The New Facebook", was a wealth of information and super easy to follow.

My only gripe about this method is that with the created lists, you STILL have to click on each list to see the pages or friends you added to it. I don't know about everyone else, but I really like to have it all in my main News feed. Well, I figured out a technique while playing with the new lists that will allow just that to be done. Here is my addition to Annie's Tutorial.

Hope this helps! If you have any questions feel free to contact me and I will be happy to help!

  1. Thank you! We, at Boys Be Cool have suffered a blow of 65% decrease in the active users. It took us a long time to get there and lose it overnight due to these absolutely unnecessary changes! We are trying to figure out how to get these tutorials to all our fans, since they also eliminated "Send an update" option from the resources.

  2. Julia, You are still able to create an "EVENT" and notify all of your fans. You could do this to send out an important message. Have you tried that?
