Adorable Twins Wearing Matching Sets~ Bow Ties & Headbands

I know I’ve already written a post about the release of our sibling sets, but they are so cute that I had to do an update post! I recently received some photos from a customer with her boy/girl twins wearing our handmade tangerine matching sibling accessories.

Their gorgeous mocha skin tone was a perfect match for the orange hues in this particular set. Mr. Cayden & Ms. Chloe totally rocked the shoot! Super cute and squishy, the perfect models for this set.

Special Thanks To Photos from the Heart for the beautiful shot!

Sneak Peek- Hand Made Suspenders & Bunting Banners

It is always exciting when I am able to release new items for the shop! This month I have TWO new products to share with you all. First a little back ground of what inspired me to make them.

A Pretty Baby customer recently contacted me about creating something special for her son A’s second birthday. She informed me that they will be doing a cake smash and wanted some fun props to use with it. My first suggestion was our Birthday Boy Bow Tie. This tie has become one of most popular boy items because of the unique keepsake cupcake attachment. Some feedback I have gotten is:

“I LOVE how the bow tie can be used with OR without the cupcake! Now {J} can use his bow tie any day.” – L.R. Floral Park, NY

We then spoke about some items I didn’t already have available. We tossed around the idea of fabric bunting banners. We decided that it would be a great idea because I could match one panel to the bow tie.

$25-$40 depending on size and style.
Our banners will always be made of quilt shop quality fabrics. They will range from 6'-7'. The small will have 5 panels and the Large will have 6. You will have a choice of 2 or 3 fabrics as well as a choice of triangle or scalloped panels.

Some other features I hope to incorporate in our design are the ability to make the bunting multi gendered. I want the user to be able to get as much use out of the banner as possible. I would make one side girl friendly and the other side boy friendly. I also hope to make some that are catered toward not only birthdays, but holidays and even the seasons!

As with all of our products, the banners will be fully customizable. We can make them smaller or larger based on your needs and can even add appliqu├ęs and letters to the panels!

A’s mom was also in search of suspenders for her little guy. At the mention of them, I knew I just HAD TO take on this project. Imagine the Cuteness! Attached to a diaper cover with a matching bow tie, EEEK!

$18-$20 based on size and style.
Boy’s suspenders will be custom tailored to fit your trendy tike just right.  As with our banners and bow ties, only the finest quality fabrics will be used. To go along with our high standard for materials, we will always use premium clips and sliders. You will be able to choose from any of our existing bow tie fabrics or contact us with your color needs and we will be happy to customize (even for your girls). **Don’t forget the matching bow tie! **

Bow Tie/ Suspender Sets $24-$26

Where to find Reviews for Pretty Baby Accessories

I decided to disable to review tab on our Facebook page for a couple of reasons. First being that anyone, even if they have not done business with me, is able to leave a review. Second being, that if there is someone posting spam or bogus information to my review tab, I am not able to delete it. I actually have to submit a ticket to Facebook and cross my fingers that I get a response, which is not likely.

Consequently, I’m sure you are wondering where to find reviews for Pretty Baby Accessories. Here are a few places that you may:

1.       Our Etsy Shop – Here you may read reviews from our Etsy Customers. You are not able to leave a review if you have not purchased from our shop.

2.       Merchant Circle- Here you will be able to read AND write reviews for “PBA”.

I hope you find this a helpful resource when researching Pretty Baby Accessories. If you have already done business with us, or received any of our products as a gift, I invite you to leave a review at any or all of these venues. Your feedback is always appreciated!

Versatility- Hair Clips, Headbands, & Non Slip Grips

Here at Pretty Baby Accessories, we strive for customer satisfaction and as our mission states, “Our goal is to create the perfect hand made accessories with your needs/wants in mind”.  Recently, we’ve had many inquiries about the versatility of our headband collection. Some of your Pretty Babies prefer a hair clip or just won’t keep the headband on.

So to stay true to our goal, YES! We do offer the choice of putting our creations on an alligator clip, French clip, hair comb, or headband. In fact, many of our headbands can even be made interchangeable so that you may use any of our designs with a headband one day and as a fascinator the next!
For those girls with fine hair, we also offer a non slip grip to be added to your clippie at no additional charge! Just be sure to let us know your princess has fine hair and we will add one for you.

From here on out, our newborn headbands will come standard attached to the band. For older children, who will most likely have more hair, we will offer the option to have an interchangeable headband with the design on clip and a non slip grip by request.

We want our customers to be 100% satisfied, so all suggestions will be reviewed and applied where possible. Do you have a suggestion for us? Please click the contact tab at the top of this blog and send us a message.

Esty Kids Team Interview- Auntie Robin

Being part of a team is getting to know your Team mates. I recently had the opportunity to ask Robin of Auntie Robin's  a few questions. I'd like to share what I learned about the talented Etsy Shop Owner. PLUS~ She is giving one lucky reader a $20 Gift Certificate to her shop!!

Just in time for Halloween!!

Please give us a brief bio, where you are from and how you started crafting?
I’m from California, but now live on the east coast.  Sewing has always been a part of my life.  With five daughters, my mother sewed countless dresses for us and taught each of us to sew.  Starting with doll clothes and moving on to sewing our own clothes, the sewing machine was always humming at our house.  Later on, I started making quilts.  The clothing I make now is influenced by quilting in that several coordinating fabrics will be used in one garment.  I think this makes each piece fun and creative.

What made you open an Etsy Shop?
A couple of friends suggested the idea to me.  At first I was reluctant as I thought there were already so many Etsy shops selling children’s items, but then I thought I’d give it a try.  Everyone has something different to offer and I’ve found that being with Etsy is a lot of fun!

What items do you make?
Currently I’m making skirts for little girls and baby quilts.  Each one is unique.  The skirts are all fully lined with finished seams. They are pretty and fun, but practical, too.  A little girl can wear one of these skirts to a party or outside on the playground.  The baby quilts are hand-quilted and are backed with soft flannel to make them extra cuddly.

What's your favorite item to make?
I love to make skirts based on storybook characters.  I want to encourage pretend play and imagination.

Red Riding Hood Inspired Outfit

Where do you see your business in the next 5 years?
Good question and one I’ve been thinking about lately.  I love sewing and want to make more items and sell more.  I’d also like to give more away to charity.  I’m not sure what other directions I want to go in the future, but I’m open to new possibilities!

What inspires you to keep going and how do you keep yourself motivated?
All I have to do is look at fabric to be inspired!  I love choosing the fabric and trims for each item.  Motivation is not a problem for me.

Any influences or anyone you look up to when it comes to designing?
The children I know love to dress up as different characters and they often inspire me.  Also, children’s storybooks, vintage paper dolls, old movies, etc.

How do you promote your business?
I’m just learning to do that.  I’m learning the importance of joining and participating in teams.  I love blog reviews and giveaways.  It’s all a lot of fun!

Lastly, any words of advice for aspiring designers/artists/crafters?
Keep making stuff!  Design and make what you enjoy.  There are a lot of kindred spirits out there in blogland!

Etsy Kids Team- "Stylish Design With Kids In Mind"!

The EtsyKids Team is a diverse group of talented and dedicated Etsy shop owners making items for babies, toddlers, and children. The team is run by an amazing group of dedicated and hardworking volunteers.

I am honored to be a member of this fabulous team of artisans. For me it has become a great way to meet new friends who share my passion for children and creating handmade items for children. We are a team in the true sense of the word. We help to promote each other's shops while building connections that could last a lifetime.

To give back to the community, I will be doing a series of blog posts (1-2 per month) that will highlight my fellow team members. Some of these will be an interview while others may host a giveaway or discount.

Please be sure to "follow" this blog to be eligible for any giveaways.
